2 months ago by willowlaneblog What a relatively relaxed morning looks like over here . Slowly getting used to having two kiddies and managing my time as best as I can! This set-up allowed me to get dressed and put on some tinted moisturiser . Baby Alex is now three weeks old and a wee dote. Rose has definitely got used to having him around now and loves to help give him a bath ‍♀️
2 months ago by willowlaneblog Happy Friday all. We made it out of the house as a family of four (baby Alex is hiding in the baby carrier). We went on a walk to Nanny and Grandas and I was taken aback at how all of a sudden it feels autumny. When I went into labour it was sunny and warm, a week later and I'm wearing a coat! But I love Autumn and it was so nice to walk and not waddle :)
2 months ago by willowlaneblog Hello everyone, meet my beautiful son Alex. He was born on Tuesday 24 September, weighing 8lbs 6oz...and he is the image of his big sister, only with dark hair! Honestly, as soon as he was born it felt like he has always been here with us. Corny but true. Currently he is sleeping and I'm still in my pjs. We are well and truly in the newborn haze! #myson #babyboy #oncloudnine ☁️
3 months ago by willowlaneblog This time last week we were waking up with our birthday girl/fairy princess and presenting her with her big present...a brand new wooden kitchen (swipe to see). We were going to get her a bike but in the end opted for a kitchen. She got so much play value out of her small second hand plastic kitchen, I figured an upgrade would be nice. I searched high and low for what I thought was the 'perfect' wooden kitchen at a good price point. I hope she appreciates my diligence ;)
3 months ago by willowlaneblog It's been a while since I shared a foodie pic on here but this one is worth sharing. Phill and I recently had a brunch date together at @outputespresso . We had stopped off for a takeaway coffee here weeks ago and were so impressed with the coffee and brownie that we wanted to go back. We both opted for the 'pig pancakes' and my-oh-my were they delicious. Every element was perfection; the thicky fluffy pancakes, the Hannans's bacon and the morish black pudding scotch egg. All washed down with coffee...delicious! #brunch

She was so busy playing and socialising I barely saw her all day...so not sure exactly how much cake and treats she had #birthdaygirl #birthdayparty #daughter ❤️
4 months ago by willowlaneblog Rose and I had an impromptu photoshoot in the garden . She even took a long length photo of me using my phone! So glad I bought her a kids camera recently - just debating whether or not to give it to her for her birthday later this month or as a present from the new baby when they arrive! She's been such a trouper these past few months. Now potty trained and sleeping in a big girl bed. Plus she's just started dressing herself too. Miss independent. Next on the agenda is getting rid of the dummy
4 months ago by willowlaneblog So I've decided Rose will be my birth partner for baby no. 2. Who better than my first born to take on the role?! However, in all seriousness, I need to start thinking positively about giving birth for a second time. So far I've been trying not to think about it. But I decided to buy this hypnobirthing book as I am intrigued by the whole concept. Whilst I wouldn't say I had a traumatic time with Rose...I had a back to back natural birth and she came hard and fast! I remember thinking afterwards, how do women do this
4 months ago by willowlaneblog #Throwback I have not had baby no.2! But currently looking at soft baby wraps and wondering which one(s) are the best? I loved having Rose in the Baby Bjorn carrier (pictured) and fully intend to use it again but would also like a soft wrap for using around the house. Suggestions please!
5 months ago by willowlaneblog The men folk embarking on a playdate with the kiddiwinkles! We visited the water park @letsgohydro for the first time and it was brilliant! The kids went on the 'puddle park' (like a bouncy castle on the water) whilst we each took it in turn to supervise and drink coffee .
5 months ago by willowlaneblog Me and my girl on our way to the park. She has been such a trouper these past few months as we have moved house, potty trained her and put her in a big girl bed . Next task? Get her off the dummy! All in preparation for the new baby coming of course! Any tips you have for getting rid of a dummy much appreciated! She just uses it for sleep.
