One of my favourite things is browsing new frames in Specsavers on a Saturday. Is that a really sad and boring admission? Or do you guys secretly do the same? Perhaps it would be more sad if I didn’t actually need glasses. But I can categorically say I need glasses to see. The first thing I do in the morning is reach for my glasses on my beside table because my eyesight is so bad.
Lately my preferences have been towards pink and red frames and there was quite a few I fancied in Specsavers, including this Converse pair and this Karl Lagerfield pair. In the end I chose these raspberry red frames by Boss Orange as they suited my face better. I always get advice from the people who work at Specsavers as they’ll let me know if the frames are too big or too small for me, if they sit on my nose right, and all that sort of thing. Sometimes when you fall for a pair of frames you probably don’t properly consider the fit of the frame on your face. If you’re like me, you’ll often be swayed by who the designer is!
Thank you to Specsavers for providing me with a gift voucher to purchase my favourite pair of glasses, I am delighted with my new Boss Orange specs. I’m hoping my new glasses will motivate me to get reading again. I’ve had the Mary Portas memoir sitting on my bedside table – unopened – for weeks now!
