Phill and I hosted a Halloween party at our house this year and had an absolutely brilliant time with friends and family. Everyone who came put in so much effort with their costume – some were darn right scary and others were laugh out loud hilarious. Being the Halloween geek that he is Phill set up a photo area in our garage and took everyone’s pic infront of a green screen. I think the photos turned out great and I wanted to share some of them with you.
In case you don’t recognise me (!) I went as a Victorian ghost bride. I wore my mum’s wedding dress and paired it with a cheap veil I bought on ebay, cheap fake flowers for my bouquet, my own vintage style locket necklace and vintage ring. I used cheap supermarket face make-up to do my face and then my own dark lipsticks to create a dramatic gothic lip. I was delighted with the outcome. I’ve never been one to buy a full costume – I prefer to be a bit thrifty and use items I already have or ones I can borrow!
Phill went as a Ring Wraith from Lord of the Rings. He bought his cloak and sword from Amazon and made his own hand armour. He was properly creepy! Our guests included a couple of skeletons, a clown, a dark angel, zombies, Rick from the Walking Dead, Freddie Mercury’s infamous drag costume and a beautiful Muerta lady.
