With Ruth away “working” I was delighted to be invited back for another guest post. In keeping with her adventures, I thought I’d compile a list of common mistakes men make when they pack their suitcases unsupervised.
2. Footwear. I have an aversion to feet but I am not one to let my issues prevent others from enjoying a little toe-exposure. Flip-flops & Converse are the coolest option to wear with shorts or trousers. Not pool sandals, not “action sandals” and most definitely not crocs!
3. Shorts. Simple chino shorts in camel or navy will look smart enough for you to wear them in the evening too. ¾ length and cargo shorts are usually too heavy – you might as well wear jeans.
4. Sunscreen. Many men consider themselves impervious to the sun’s rays and therefore are reluctant to apply sun lotion. You’ve seen the results on your flight home; rows upon rows of peeling red faces. You might not be a tanned Adonis, but that’s better than being burnt!
Holidays are our time to unwind and relax. While we don’t want to stress too much on what to wear, there is something satisfying about stepping out of the hotel dressed better than 90% of the other residents. Have a fantastic holiday, whether a staycation or trip of a life time!
