Phill and I have been sprucing up our garden over the last month in anticipation of warmer weather and the chance to spend more time in our outdoor space. Weeding and power hosing have taken place, as has planting and the purchasing of new garden furniture. Over the last three years we’ve put a lot of money into our outdoor space. Whilst we’re definitely not green-fingered gardners, we want to be inspired by our exterior, just as we want to be inspired by out interior. We like Asian inspired gardens and try to achieve that ‘zen’ look with lots of grey and muted tones, leafy plants and ornamentals like elephants and budhas. You can see what our garden looked like last year. I’ll be doing an update for you soon on what changes have been made this year.
In the meantime I’ve put together a number of beautiful garden accessories that I love and which are very much in keeping with our zen garden look. I think many of these items would work great in more traditional country gardens, or even minimalist outdoor spaces. You might also want to check out my garden board on Pinterest.
