One thing I’ve definitely inherited from my Mum is a love of Clinique products. My Mum has worn Clinique Aromatics Elixir since forever and she uses alot of Clinique makeup and skincare products. I remember putting on her Clinique lipsticks when I was a child and now I own quite a few myself. Recently I purchased three new lipsticks for summer and bottom lash mascara in black, which I’d heard such good things about.
The lipsticks colours I picked were (left to right) Nearly Violet (High Impact Lipstick), Rose Taffy (Different Lipstick) and Blushing Nude (Long Lasting Lipstick). All beautiful shades and they glide on like a dream. No matter what state your lips are in, I always think the super moisturising Clinique lipsticks look great on. And I absolutely love the bottom lash mascara! It’s a revelation. Gone are the days I use a big mascara wand to do my lower lashes.
I was lucky enough to get an introduction to Wet n Wild makeup products recently and I came away with a goody bag to try out various items. This US budget brand has just recently come across to Ireland and people have been going mad for it! I’d heard the Wet n Wild eye shadow was impressive and I must say I’ve been using the ‘Silent Treatment‘ trio palette (pictured above) daily! It’s lovely and goes on really well. I also like that imprinted in each colour is where you should place them on your eye – eyelid, crease or browbone. The only unfortunate thing is that there is a lot of colour that drops from my brush onto my face which is annoying so now when I put it on I place a bit of tissue paper below my eye! The mascara is ok for daytime but there isn’t much va va voom from it. Unfortunately I do not like the ‘Pink Suga‘ lip colour. I can’t imagine this to be be a flattering colour on many people, but it’s not just that, if your lips are in anyway dry or cracked, this lipstick will look awful on. It’s just too dry and chalky in texture.
I’ll definitely buy the Wet n Wild eye shadows again as they are so affordable and a great way to try out new colours and trends without breaking the bank. I can imagine teenagers loving the entire Wet n Wild range, which is currently on sale in Penneys and Dunnes Stores.
