After a five month break, the Frock Around the Clock vintage fair was back with avengence on Sunday at Malone House, Belfast. I made an afternoon of it with my Mum. We browsed around all the forty-plus stalls, then we took a coffee and scone break before circulating a second time and deciding what we would buy.
I went to the fair hoping to spot a vintage black shrug and I found it in the form of a vintage-style faux fur Julian McDonald shrug. It’s so glam and I think I’ll get plenty of wear out of in the run-up to the festive season. I also purchased an old key which I will probably hang in our hallway. I could have bought a ton of vintage jewellery but I held back as I really do have too much jewellery!
I don’t think the selection of stalls at the fair has ever been better. As well as authentic vintage and retro clothes, jewellery and homewares, they are also many carefully selected sellers of handmade gifts and sweet treats. You could easily spend hours snooping about, which is exactly what we done!
