Rose is almost ten months old and for a while now I’ve wanted to invest in a good stroller/buggy. Whilst I love the travel system we’ve had since she was born, it is heavy, bulky and sometimes a bit of a faff to put up and down. A stroller that was sturdy but lightweight was on my wishlist.
I headed to Samuel Johnston’s, which is a big baby outlet showroom located in Mallusk just a few miles from where I live in Belfast. I’d last been to the store when I was heavily pregnant and I remembered they had a wide range of strollers on sale. As soon as I arrived I homed in on the coloured Cosatto range of buggies. My travel system is black and grey so it appealed to me to opt for a bright stroller. And if you want your stroller to stand out from the crowd they you can’t go wrong with the British based Cosatto as they base their whole brand on being bright and bold.
Before I made up my mind I made sure to road test a few different buggies, including ones from Silvercross, iCandy and Jané. The shop assistants in Samuel Johnston’s were really lovely and showed me all the bells and whistles of the different buggies. Some of the buggies were basic, others were quite fancy. Because I was looking for a buggy to use all the time with Rose, I wanted a really good quality one with a decent basket below the stroller, comfortable handles, and a comfy looking seat.
Cosatto had my heart from the moment I walked in the shop. I opted for the new Yo2 Stroller in the design ‘Go Brightly’. Rose seemed to love it too! She looked really comfy sitting in it and I think she loved being front-facing for a change because usually I have her facing me in the travel system. She’s at that age where she is super nosey – another reason why I want a buggy as then she will be able to see the world go by as I push her about.
We’ve been using the buggy for over a week now and it’s been really nice to use. It folds up neatly and I now have a lot more room in the boot of the car for shopping. It’s definitely an eye-catching pram and I’ve received quite a few compliments already on it. If you want a stroller to make you smile, then you’ll want a Cosatto.
If you’re based in Northern Ireland and on the hunt for baby products, then check out Samuel Johnston in Mallusk as they stock a great range of strollers, travel systems, nursery furniture and toys. You’ll be sure to get one-to-one assistance and product demos, just like Rose and I did.
Disclosure: This video was made for Samuel Johnston and they gave me the Cosatto stroller to take home with me. Huge thanks to Phill for shooting the video.
