With the weather getting warmer now that spring is here, Phill and I thought it was high time to introduce Rose to Portrush. It’s been two years since we last enjoyed a trip to Portrush, which is a seaside resort town situated on a mile long peninsula extending into the Atlantic Ocean on the North coast of Ireland. I love taking day trips around this time of year and I’m so excited to show Rose around some of the most picturesque parts of her country.
Luckily, Rose loves to get out and about. In Portrush she enjoyed going on the baby swing at the playground and having a lick of her Daddy’s ice-cream! She just giggled and beamed widely when being pushed in the swing and then when Phill bought a My Whippy ice-cream she made a bee-line for it. We always said we wouldn’t feed her ice-cream at such a young age but it’s so hard to resist giving her a little taster! Check out the little video at the end to see her reaction to the sweet treat.
Portrush is definitely the go-to place for many families around this time of year but thankfully it wasn’t too busy. I suspect it will be hiving with people over Easter. I think we’ll keep a low profile over the Easter break, and maybe spruce up the garden a bit. We’ll squeeze in a trip to the park, since Rose now can enjoy the swings! What are your plans?
