Before we all ring in the new year, I wanted my last post of 2016 to be a Christmassy one. Last Christmas I remember thinking how wonderful it would be to have a baby by Christmas 2016. Little did I know I was actually pregnant last Christmas! And lucky for me I had an adorable four month old to spend Christmas with this year.
Rose took all the present opening and attention from Grandparents and Uncles and Aunties in her stride and was on fine form. Phill, Rose and I spent the morning in our own house opening presents. Phill and I got Rose a collection of small gifts. We deliberately didn’t go berserk buying tons of stuff for her first Christmas as we don’t think its necessary to overwhelm her with toys. Once we got out of our pjs and had breakfast we headed to Phill’s parents house for Christmas Lunch (and more present opening). In the evening we made the short trip to my parents house and had a cosy time by the fire eating cheese and crackers and scoffing a tin of Roses.
Rather than focus on photographs, I took lots of video on Christmas Day. My Mum and Dad always filmed my brother and I on Christmas morning opening presents and I want to keep up this tradition. I’m sure Rose will love looking back on herself as a baby, just like I do. So take a look at our Christmas Day video and I’ll be seeing you in 2017!
Have a wonderful new year.
