Now don’t go thinking I’ve brought out a beauty range – I WISH! I was recently sent these two Willow Organic Beauty items to try out and so far I’ve been loving them. Not only do they have a wonderful name, but their packaging is so pretty, they refuse to test on animals and all their products are made with at least 75% organic ingredients.
Glowing Body Oil – this comes in an elegant and heavy glass bottle and is beautifully fragranced with rosehip, almonds and barbary fig. If I could eat it, I would (always a good sign that a moisturiser is for you). If like me you ssume a body oil is likely to be greasy on the skin then you’d be very wrong! This body oil dries so unbelievably quickly and I like that it isn’t heavily scented and sickening. It’s definitely given my skin a nice soft feeling in the run-up to summer. And the positives keep on coming as this brand new product is made with 99.8% organic ingredients, and £1 of ever sale goes to a butterfly sanctuary.
Advanced Anti-Aging Serum – this is now the most expensive thing in my bathroom cabinet so I’m using it wisely (it’s £68). Luckily with serums, a little goes a long way. And as I approach 30 I want to start investing in anti-aging skincare. I want to keep crows feet and jowls at bay as long as I can! This serum is so lightweight and lovely to apply. I’ve been using it in the mornings and evenings after cleansing and toning, Once I’ve applied the serum I moisturise. This product contains 82% organic ingredients, which include barbary fig, marshmallow root and rose.
Using these organic face and body products has made me more aware of what I’m placing on my skin. When shopping for skincare items I don’t usually search for organic products but I want to start paying more attention to what ingredients are in items, just as I would when I go food shopping!
What emphasis do you put on organic skincare? I want to know!
