So who has been hitting the sales and got themselves some new clobber for January? Getting some new clothes for the new year is one of the ways I keep the post-December blues at bay. The Christmas decorations have now been packed away (something that always makes me a little sad) and I’m now back to work after almost two weeks off.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas break – catching up with friends and family, planning new blog posts, vegging out at home…and getting my fashion fix in the sales. You can check out all my recent sales purchases in this video.
My outfit here features two new buys from Mango – the brown waxed jeans and the printed shirt. I’ve also got on my Marks and Spencer chelsea boots which I got in the sales for £35 (from £69.99). I’ve paired my new purchases with an H&M cable-knit sweater, my waxed black coat from the Florence and Fred range (now on sale!), and my Bessie bag (bought in TK Maxx over a year ago). I always try and be sensible in the sales and make sure the items I’m buying are good investments and can be worn with various existing items in my wardrobe.
Aside from new clothes I also treated myself to a little pampering whilst I was off. I got a haircut and a fab blowdry at Peter Mark and a lovely all over body massage and mani and pedi at Tanya Rolf Beauty Clinic. I think it’s a good idea to fit in a little pampering time in the new year when you may be feeling a little out-of-sorts after all the come-down of Christmas. Plus hair and beauty salons often have some very tempting offers on during the month of January!
