I always think it takes a few days, if not longer, to fully process a holiday. Whilst I’m still suffering from jetlag, I wanted to share some photos with you from my trip. Already, I’m wishing I was back in the sunshine with another week left to explore all that LA has to offer.
When I was there I knew it was a holiday of a lifetime and I consciously tried to be in the moment and remember the sights and sounds of everything around me. I enjoyed every minute of the first week Phill and I spent in Anaheim. It very much reminded us of our Florida holidays thanks to staying in a Disney Resort area, visiting outlet stores, eating in IHOP etc. But on the second week we were ready to experience ‘the real LA’. In the car we rented for a few days, we drove to our new hotel, The Line, in Koreatown. We had high hopes for this hotel after falling in love with it online and from the moment we checked in we knew we were going to have an amazing stay. If LA turned out to be a disappointment then at least we could chill out and experience the many things The Line had to offer.
Thankfully LA was not a disappointment. To visit the landmarks I grew up hearing about and seeing in movies – The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, The Viper Room and The Grove, to name but a few – was at times very surreal. Highlights for me were exploring K-town and sampling some amazing Korean food and getting the best mani & pedi I’ve ever had. I felt like a true LA girl shopping at The Grove, and visiting Universal Studios Hollywood was amazing. One of the most beautiful places we went to was Santa Monica. I’d heard so much about it and, of the small section I got to see, I really loved it.
