Last weekend I put our Christmas tree up and decorated the house. This will be our fourth Christmas in our house and every year I add to our Christmas collection. This year I’ve bought quite a few new ornaments for the tree. I’m also on the look-out for a nice festive centre piece for the dining room table.
I was in my element decorating the house. I had my Christmas music on (check out my Christmas Playlist) as I went and I even wrapped some presents and wrote out some Christmas cards. I was on a roll! I think’s it’s nice to have some wrapped Christmas presents under the tree, especially if you have an artificial tree like us and want to cover up the base of the tree. I’ve been on the lookout for a Christmas tree skirt but I’m having no luck. I may just ask my Mum to make me one as she’s a brilliant seamstress.
To finish our weekend off I made some good old fashioned bread and butter pudding using a yummy barmbrack loaf. I think I might make it again this weekend too. This would be a good recipe to follow.
No traditional star or angel on top of the tree for us. Phill insists on having this voodoo zombie head atop our Christmas tree.
The reindeer ornament is our most recent addition. I got three of them in Marks and Spencer.
At the end of Christmas I cut up Christmas cards so they can be tags for presents the following year.
