My cousin Hannah and I decided to spend Saturday catching up with each other and doing a spot of shopping in Belfast. Victoria Square shopping centre was putting on a number of fashion shows throughout the day so we thought we’d take in one of the shows and get some inspiration for what to wear in the coming months.
I loved the nostalgic train station set-up for the fashion show. Old leather-style suitcases were placed around the runway and when the models came out, there was definitely a nod to yesteryear with some of the outfits. Hats, leather gloves and elegant coats caught me eye and looks from Hobbs, H&M, River Island and Ted Baker stood out for me. I love updating my look with winter accessories, and who can resist purchasing a new coat for winter time? I like to invest in a good coat around this time of year but I’m not sure my wardrobe can hold another one…
After the fashion show we went for lunch and before we got stuck into shopping we got the lift to the very top of Victoria Square to the impressive dome. If you’re visiting Belfast, you have to go up to the dome and check out the view over the city centre. It’s pretty amazing.
As with any new season, it’s so tempting to go berserk and buy loads. I like to take my time and think about buying a few key items that I know will go with existing items in my wardrobe. So far this month I’ve bought a pair of leather ankle boots and a black and rust coloured bag with rose gold embellishment. I am loving rose gold since I was kindly given this watch by Argento. So when Hannah and I went into Pull and Bear in Victoria Square I snapped up a black and rose gold belt. Slowly but surely my winter wardrobe is coming together.
