The gym, Zumba, badminton, swimming, they’ve all come and gone over the years. The only exercise I’ve ever stuck to is power walking. I used to walk to and from school, then it was too and from the train station for uni, then it was lots of romantic walks when I started dating Phill! Even when I bought my first car (which I still have) for starting my first ‘proper job’ I made sure I kept my walking up. Now I take a walk on my lunch hour almost every day, come rain, hail or shine. I look forward to getting away from my desk and really stretching my legs but what keeps me coming back for more is the music I listen to when I go walking. If I have my playlist and earphones I’m happy.
Last year I discovered Vivo Barefoot trainers and I have become a complete convert to their way of thinking. The Vivo Barefoot philosophy is that our feet were not made to be encased in cushioned padded soles, but that we are best when we go barefoot. Of course, I wouldn’t be singing the praises of these shoes if I didn’t also love the style of the shoe. I especially love the distinctive rubber soles that my two pairs of trainers have, which set them apart from most other trainers.
